Pre-booked tickets only bypass the ticket office queue. All visitors must stand in the security line at the entrance, which can back up during sunny weekends and school holidays.

Bags larger than 55 x 35 x 20 cm are strictly prohibited. The zoo has no cloakroom or luggage storage facilities, so you must arrange off-site storage beforehand if traveling with suitcases.

There is no official parking lot for the zoo. Street parking in the Bois de Vincennes is scarce, and nearby public garages (such as Poniatowski) charge high hourly rates.

Although some booking platforms and older guides list stroller rentals at the ticket desk, this service is no longer reliably offered. It is best to bring your own foldable stroller.

The iconic 65-meter-tall artificial mountain (Le Grand Rocher) is the park's central landmark but is closed to the public; you cannot climb it or access its interior.

Food and drinks at the park's restaurants and kiosks are expensive. Visitors are permitted to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks to use at the designated outdoor picnic areas.

The main entrance is at the intersection of Avenue Daumesnil and Route de Ceinture du Lac Daumesnil. Pre-booked digital ticket holders should proceed directly to the turnstiles, bypassing the ticket windows. A mandatory security check applies to all. The park is organized into five biozones (Patagonia, Africa, Europe, Amazon-Guyana, Madagascar) along a 4km trail; allow at least 2–3 hours for a full visit. Note that the landmark 'Grand Rocher' is a visual icon but its interior and summit are currently closed to the public.

Official adult entry for June 2026 is €22, with a reduced rate of €17 for children (ages 3–12), students (13–25), and jobseekers; toddlers under 3 and disabled visitors (plus one companion) enter for free. Families of four (2 adults and 2 children) can use the 'Tribe' pass for €68. While partner prices usually match the €22 adult rate, always verify the final checkout total and inclusions, as third-party terms for cancellation or mobile entry may differ from the official MNHN policy.

Full admission applies from age 13; children aged 3–12 have the child rate, and children under 3 are free. Every visitor, including free-admission visitors, needs a ticket; free tickets are issued on site at the cash desk with the required proof.
